R1 Ladbrokes Spring Hosted Pots Maiden, 1200m

BAD ALIBI (9) has trialled nicely and can figure in the finish but has drawn a touch awkwardly with speed all around her. Just not sure where she settles. Gets the right breaks she's a big threat on debut. Oxidize (7) was just no match for Celtic Rose first-up off a 313-day break so will be all the better for that run. CAN'T CATCH CHILLI (10) turned in a career best last start and draws to be prominent again from barrier 1. The winner likely to come from those top 3. LA ZAMPA (1) struggles to win , place claims best. Next best ZIGGY PLAYS GUITAR (3) and NIKOLSKY (5) having her first local start.

R2 Jackson Security Tasmanian Newmarket & Baker Group 3yo Cup Nov 21st C1 Hcp, 1200m

Prince Of Khatun (5) continues to race well this preparation, breaking through in maiden grade first up and the subsequent efforts in strong class 1 company have had of plenty merit. BUNKER JAKO (1) showed good ability first preparation. Lead-up trials in readiness for his return have been excellent. SNOWDONIA (2) has returned in good order. Wasn't able to muster early speed first up but finished off strongly behind Blameitontheboogie, a good formline. STROAK OF ART(3) and VIXEN'S MOON (6) have a case, both lightly raced with upside and perfectly drawn to get their chance.

R3 Vale Theo Mylonas C1 Hcp, 1400m

Thin Red Line (6) was just no match for Navarre River over the 1600m a fortnight ago. In the mix again but back in trip isn't ideal. Last win was 834 days ago. COOL CONQUEST (10) brings similar form and been around the money at all 5-starts this prep, close to another win. CORSA VELOCE (4) returns off a long break and with 3 trials under her belt won't be far off the mark. Was a first-up winner last time in, maps well, will be thereabouts. HENLEY EXTREME (5) may go on with it now that she's broken through. The one that finished second to her has since won. ALISENT (9) was scratched from last Saturday for this, fitter for last run and suited out to the 1400m. HALEN (2) and GEEGEES LEGACY (7) were far from disgraced in harder race last time. MISS TERASITA (12) needs plenty to go right from the gate but is racing well.

R4 Vale Enid Larter Maiden, 1400m

Lady Atlas (6) was okay late over 1120m last time and gives the impression the rise in trip is suitable. ARIANNA'S GOLD (3) placed twice this prep from as many starts and should also find the 1400m to her liking. SEDITIOUS AWARD (8) better efforts have all been at this track so forgive last run at Hobart 5-days ago. ARCADE BOY (1) draws to be in the finish and gets a handy claim but had plenty of chances. CHEEKY TILLY (5) strikes a moderate maiden on debut. Recent trial here was solid behind some proven performers. TASSIE POWER (2) next best.

R5 Mayhem In The Mounting Yard 21st November Class 4, 1400m

The Longest Yard (3) was just no match at Hobart for Fighting Floyd in a deep race, peak fitness now third run back, has never once run poorly since arriving from Victoria. EARENDEL (1) resumes. Been a different horse since blinkers were applied. MAGNAPRIME (6) also returns. Hardly put a foot wrong in his first campaign, missing a top 2 finish just the once from 8 tries. WHIPPIN PICCADILLY (8) is a handy mare and has flown under the market's radar the majority of her career. Successful 3 of her past 7, won with consummate ease last time. The ultra consistent KAKIA (5) makes own luck and chance if left alone but this is tough. WITHIN SIGHT (10) a last start winner in class 2 grade but has returned in very good order.

R6 Cressy Chaff Cutters Longford Cup 1st January Bm60 Hcp, 1600m

Elegantly Written (3) may have just hit the front a fraction too soon last start when picked off late by the quinella. This an easier race but rises in weight. NIGHT INVADER (1) needs luck as always but is going well and will be rattling home. BAYBOUGG (4) made amends last start for luckless run the start prior, stays on same weight after the claim. EXALTED CROWN (5) drops back from the 2100m but rock-hard fit and comes through a decent form race.

R7 Book Your Christmas Party 3rd Or 10th December Bm60 Hcp, 1200m

Ngapali Beach (3) has returned in good order. Was best of the beaten brigade resuming behind the progressive Geegees Missile then worked home soundly from the rear behind Skyland. This looks a slightly easier assignment. NAZORIAN (6) was beaten by the barest possible margin in same grade 12-days ago, will be competitive again. STARS IN THE NIGHT (4) strips fitter second-up, was okay resuming, very consistent record this track and distance. GEEGEES MISTY (8) is capable of better, was okay in this grade resuming then never likely in a slowly run race last time, back to the 1200m more suitable. POWER MAGNUM (7) box seats, wider chance for exotics, no wins from many tries at this track.

R8 Ladbrokes Launceston Cup Packages On Sale Now Class 6, 1100m

Just the 4 of them lining up at this stage. Can make an argument for all of the runners. Flying Billie (1) and THOROS OF MYR (2) are genuine class 6 horses and hence carry 5kg more weight than the other pair. Both of them have racked up plenty of wins in the past 8-months. GEMS EAGLE (5) both wins have been around the 1400m but hasn't been far away both times resuming. Handy record this venue. POPILITA (6) hasn't done a lot of racing in the past 20-months but was rock-solid last time in class 4 company and can't be ruled out.
