R1 Aviso Tas Insurance Brokers Class 4, 1200m

Mastretta (3) has been consistent this campaign, including a win at Launceston in similar company. Scratched from Friday night for this assignment. LADY GALADRIEL (5) makes her Hobart debut. She's fourth-up and returns after a 46-day break after finishing out of the placings last time when favourite. The track was quite firm that night, so may pay to forgive. GEE GEES ME BOY (1) broke a long losing streak last time. Steps straight back into a  Class 4 race but does meet NAVARRE RIVER (4) a hefty 7kg worse off for only a length defeat. HURRICANE KETUT (2) turned his form around sharply last prep, winning three straight soon after arriving in the state. Resumes here and yet to win fresh but has placed in three of five first-up attempts. RARE ORO (6) was scratched last week after drawing poorly. Trialled well here midweek under minimal effort.

R2 Ladbrokes Big Bets Bm68 Handicap, 1100m

Alpine Thunder (3) returns from a 28 day freshen and is a proven track‑and‑trip specialist. He only knows one way and will look the winner at some stage. The last bit the worry. FLUFFY'S GIRL (6) found a suitable race at Longford on New Years Day over 800m and after finding the front early, the result was never really in any doubt. She's been ultra‑consistent lately and despite a modest record at this venue, has clearly improved this preparation. EASTCOAST MISS (4) maintained to her good second-up record winning at Launceston in Benchmark 60 grade after enjoying a nice trail on the back of the leader. Maps for a similar run, genuine claims again. ARAYA SUNSHINE (7) has placed at her past two and was only a length off Eastcoast Miss last start, has a case.

R3 Kevin Sharkie Maiden, 1200m

Verhoeven (5) presents four weeks between runs and continues to race consistently without breaking through. He's finished runner‑up in three of his past four starts, twice beaten by the barest margin. Deserves to win one soon. GEEGEES MERCEDES (11) is going better than the form reads, with wide gates proving a major hindrance in recent outings. Draws better here, winkers go on, key winning hope. LIGHT WORK (13) started favourite on debut and was well beaten but the run is best forgotten after a tough trip from a wide gate. Been given plenty of time and can improve sharply. DUBAI AFFAIR (9) resumes after roughly nine months off. She was highly consistent last preparation and placed five of six starts. Finished just outside the placings at her only run at this venue, a race that has since produced multiple winners. Check for market support. UP TO TORI (14) led and held on well here two runs back, then jumped awkwardly at Launceston and was never in contention. A 46‑day freshen and drawn well could spark improvement. HIGHLAND CRYSTAL (12) was solid from a wide gate last start, gets barrier one here.

R4 Olive Tree Catering Bm60 Handicap, 1430m

Rich Clan (7) was well backed first‑up but just failed to deliver. Key chance on the strength of that run and especially with the drop in grade. Worth noting though, his last win was almost three years ago. GINGERSON (4) has just the one win at this track and trip but has run into the minor money several times. Blinkers go on for the first time at start sixty-four. Rock hard fit, back in trip, and the rail being out are all positives. BLOOMTIME (3) resumed with a solid effort for the new stable, then had a few excuses second‑up but never really looked like the winner at any stage. Anything resembling her best goes close. SANDUAL (8) ran on soundly at Launceston and now gets out to his preferred trip second run back. ETHICAL DILEMMA (5) has been placed at his past couple of runs against similar opposition but the draw makes it a tough.

R5 Kevin Sharkie Elwick Stakes, 1100m

Aristopolos (1) is unbeaten from two starts and has been highly impressive each time. Hobart presents a new challenge, especially from the wide draw. Most likely concedes ground to his main rival MOMENTSLIKETHESE (6), who finished within a length of him last time, and holds a clear tactical edge from barrier 2. COPPER REIGN (10) looks the best of the newcomers, leading all the way in its trial win in good time. OLINDAH (8) was mostly wide no cover on debut and battled on well, top 4 hope from a better gate. TOO POETIC (7) led and held on okay for third at Launceston but was no match at all.

R6 Ladbrokes Mega Multi C1 Handicap, 1200m

Bella Chinkara (10) was an impressive winner resuming here 23 days ago. Looked in trouble turning for home, spotting the leader and eventual runner‑up 4–5 lengths, but let down stylishly and proved far too good late. ILOVETHISTOWN (1) justified his short odds at Launceston winning his maiden comfortably and ran up to his strong first‑up performance behind Bella Chinkara. REDAIR (11) is another coming off a maiden win. He did have the right run stalking the speed throughout, but maps for a similar trail here. SOUTHERN AURORAS (6) is fit and firing and has genuine each‑way claims. MEL'S STREET ABOVE (8) resumes and a proven fresh performer including an all the way win first‑up over 1100m last campaign. Barrier one a clear positive but there's some depth to this race. GEEGEES DOWNPOUR (3) has come back well this prep, though the draw does him no favours.

R7 Winning Edge Presentations Thousand Guineas, 1600m

Daytona Diva (1) was beaten at long odds‑on last start but didn't run poorly, bumping into one who relished the genuine soft conditions. Won a strong BM64 over this track and trip the run prior and is unbeaten here (3/3).FIERCE 'N FABULOUS (6) hasn't put in a bad run all preparation. Winner here 2 starts back, then rattled home last time from a long way back, and can only improve stepping out to the 1600m. MISS LYRA (4) battled on soundly here last time after being caught wide early and does give the impression the 1600m will suit. BRIGHT NIGHT (2) looked a bit unlucky in an easier race than this on Devonport Cup Day and peaks now fourth run back. JENNI THE CAT (3) beat a good one last time, unbeaten this prep, and has drawn to advantage.

R8 Mingari + Co C2 Handicap, 1600m

Sky Eagle (7) was only narrowly beaten last start when favourite and continues to hold her form. Will settle back and have the last crack. BAYSIDE (1) ran well in one of these races on Devonport Cup Day and looks ready to tackle the 1600m fourth‑up. QUEEN OF MALWA (5) won a Class 1 here two runs back and was far from disgraced in stronger company last time. First go at the distance is some query. TASSIE POWER (2) keeps racing well, a tough horse to get past and a last‑start winner in a slightly easier race. FRENCH SOUL (3) comes straight off a maiden win but attacked the line in a manner that suggests the 1600m will suit. VALIANT KHAN (9) next best.
