Winning Trainer: Ciaron Maher

"That was the plan to target this race for him. We didn't know he was eligible but we found out he was, thankfully.

"Last start he threw the jockey off before the race and he was completely loose. He was in a completely different headspace that day and a completely different headspace today.

"We travelled him up here and he's been staying at my brother Dec's stable. He's done a super job and the horse presented great.

"Browny, beautiful ride. One out one back following the favourite. You don't get much better than that.

"All the owners, they are super supporters of the stable.

"We paid a bit for him and all the owners do own quite a few horses so they deserve.

"Browny is a good man and it was good to beat Tony. He's hard to beat today. The birthday boy, we needed to bring him down a peg. He's had a great day. Fantastic."

Winning Jockey: Ethan Brown

Ciaron Maher a big supporter of Brown: "Huge. I say it every time I ride a winner for him. He's backed me all the way through and he gives me plenty of confidence.

"I seem to gel well with his horses. Also, Johnny and Ozzie and the crew. They seem to have back me to the hilt.

On the horse: "Tough. I was speaking to Ciaron and he said he had a bit of a bee in his bonnet last start pre-race and he probably ran accordingly.

"Today, he mapped well and the way the track was playing he was going to get a good run. Those horses half got to him but he dug deep late when I gave him one on the left. He was primed today. Ciaron had him in perfect order."
