Sha Tin on Saturday

The card has two G3s on it and Size-Bowman looking at the double.

The first of the G3s is Race 6 the Lion Rock Trophy over 1600m and there are 11 starters.

Red Lion scored a mammoth win over Voyage Bubble last time he race and of course Voyage Bubble was superb the following race over the longer trip.  So he comes in to this on 6.4 but the current favourite is another horse we like a lot – Johannes Brahms.  He started off life at Coolmore and did well before coming to Hong Kong where he's in Pierre Ng's hands and today Atzeni has the ride and they are on 4.2.  Pray for Mir looks promising (Mir is "Peace" in Russian) and could be worth putting into the multiples.  He's on 11.0 and Mo-Chadwick the partnership.

The Sha Tin Vase is Race 8 and is over 1200m.  Helios Express has been doing all the right things and comes into this as an odds-on favourite and while this might be a bit skinny considering the opposition he cannot be ruled out of the top finish.  Lucky Sweynesse comes in here on 6.0 with Leung riding for Man, and Patch Of Theta has been working well and is on 9.8 for Lui- de Melo.  Lady's Choice on 12.0 should go into the multiples for Chang-Chadwick.

Good news that Romantic Warrior has his little op and seems to have come through it very well.  He's had a screw inserted in the right fore after an MRI revealed a minor problem there.  Waiting to hear when his postponed victory ceremony will take place.
