Riding Doubles Dominated at the Parks and Quorn

Lachlan Neindorf kick-started the latest chapter in his riding career in style when Ferivia claimed the Group 3 Quezette Stakes at Caulfield on the weekend.

The Group 1 winning hoop lifted the South Australian filly to an impressive win for the Phillip Stokes stable, which will see her follow a Thousand Guineas path into the Melbourne Spring. Ferivia was heavily backed when she was successful at Murray Bridge on debut and followed up with a solid effort at her first Melbourne run when second at Sandown.

"It's a good entrance for the spring," Lachlan Neindorf said.

The stable collected a two-state double after Jacob Opperman landed his first winner since being announced as their new stable rider in Adelaide when Watadeel was successful earlier in the day on the Parks track at Morphettville.

Jason Holder, Jake Toeroek, and Rochelle Milnes shared Morphettville Parks riding honours, all landing doubles.

Holder gave Morphettville horseman Mark Lewis his second winner in the space of 10 days when Lottie Jane broke through for a deserving win early in the day, before Goliotus made it two wins in succession for Mount Gambier trainer Ricky Bruhn.

Milnes produced a perfect front-running ride aboard Nextonixs to give David Jolly and new training partner Justin Potter their first city winner.

Eight On The Dot and Classy Kenny provided a rough start to the quaddie for punters with long-priced victories before Milnes was successful again aboard the well-tried Hot Strut, who scored a dominant 3.26 lengths victory.

One of the most impressive wins of the day came from Victorian visitor Welcome To The Show, which produced a big finishing burst to power over the top of rivals and give Tyler Donaldson-Aitken his first city winner.

At Quorn, leading Murray Bridge trainer Garret Lynch dominated the card, taking four of the five races. Sairyn Fawke and Alysha Warren produced riding doubles, Warren winning the Cup aboard Jamrock, giving Garret Lynch another country feature.
