Valuable as a stallion now: He's a Group 1 winner now as a colt, isn't he?: A beautiful, sound, big, strong, nice colt. I was a bit concerned in the run where he was. I did say to her, he's a nice flow-along sort of horse. He doesn't like the mixed messages and don't drag him back. I'm sure he was out the back, but thankfully they ran along and he was allowed to use his big stride late and he took off.

We saw something a bit different today: "He just needs a bit of room. He's a sizeable colt, and he's got a good long stride on him, and he was strong at the end of 1200 metres. As the race worked out, you know, it was probably a good spot for him to be. There was a bit of argy-bargy going on up in front wasn't there. He's a lovely colt, and he's won a Group 1. Fantastic.

Always been a bit of a challenge: "That's a colt, isn't it? He's actually got a good temperament and a good brain, but he comes to the races that Matthew Chadwick has been wrestling him for three hours. He had a ride and ran second and I said, 'You sure you're up to this?' But he never left him alone. He's done a great job here with him. He's a typical Colt. He's full of himself and he's a lad. You know, big alpha male type colt, and that's him.

Next for him: "That's about run number five for him, so now he's a Group 1 colt, so it changes the landscape for him. I'll have to go home and have a good think about it and see what we can do with him."

It's always been a happy hunting ground for you, Adelaide: "I like the big tracks, you know. They're tracks that give you no excuses. If your horse is fit and well ridden, you cop the result. And, yeah, the big tracks, that's what I like.

Jamie Melham: "She was apprenticed to me a long time ago when she came to Victoria. She actually said, that bloke hindered my career. I don't think I put her on enough."

Is it your first group one for Mick?: It is. Nothing went to plan. He reared out the gates, missed the start, but I just got a dream run. I got a beautiful run in the end. Giga Kick was on our outside, and I thought if I drag back now and get on his backside, he's going to be too sharp. So we just rode for luck. The gaps came and I was just a passenger. Mick's got this horse absolutely flying. That was a very impressive win."

He showed us when he won the Tobin Bronze, he does have a real turn of acceleration: "Mick, his one instruction was just don't touch him. I think if he gets his head up, he can flip his pallet, he can do a few things wrong. But today I was just a passenger, like I said, and God, he gave me a really good feel late.

Back-to-back Goodwoods: "It's a very special race to win, and nothing's like winning a race back home at Adelaide in front of my aunties here, Auntie Jan, and family are here. It's special, very special."

Beaten Jockeys:

Ben Melham (Charm Stone): "Just off her action today. She's a better mare than that."

Thomas Stockdale (Climbing Star): "I didn't expect her to lead. The speed horses were nowhere to be found on jumping away. She's a horse that needs to smooth, so it's not ideal leading, but that's where we were and what we had to deal with. She gave a nice shout for the run that she had."

Ben Price (Sghirripa): "Honest run. Unfortunately he made a bit of a meal of it at the start and I would have loved to have dictated as they did. They probably outsprinted him from the 600 (metres) but I thought he was good to the line."

Jason Holder (Watchme Win): "He travelled really well in the run. He had the same sort of run as when he run. He stopped pretty quick with the 56.5 (kg). He's probably better weighted a bit lower."

Jake Toeroek (Sir Sway): "Super run. You can't be disappointed with that. He's run out of his skin and tried his guts out and the connections are really happy."

Lachlan Neindorf (Stretan Angel): "She a tired horse. She's ready to go to the paddock and freshen up a bit. She just lacked that spark."

Mark Zahra (Giga Kick): "He ran well. From the barrier we had to settle back. The jockeys in front of me got into a bit of a tussle and I had to swing wider than I wanted but he got to the line nicely."

Rochelle Milnes (Press Down): "They were a class above him today."

Justin Potter (Volcanic Express): "He ran good. He settled back and probably a little more speed would have suited him better. He probably 12 months away from a good race like that, but he tried hard."

Lucy Fiore (Generosity): "Super run. I had a really nice run in transit, maybe not in the best part of the track late."

Dean Yendall (Ameena): "Had a nice run and settled really well. Just got carted off onto Anzac Highway on the turn which didn't help and lost a few lengths which didn't help being taken off her line. The straight is better out there, so I wasn't too bothered but she still finished off well."

Will Price (Prairie Flower): "She ran enormous. She was a little bit tardy away. She got in a good spot and always travelled well. She quickened up with the field but she probably just lacks that class, but she ran really honestly."
