Winning Trainer: Chris Waller (rep by Charlie Duckworth)

On the win: "Chris has got an excellent record in the race so continuing on from the great horses that have won it."

"An excellent ride from Tommy and when the race separated into two separate divisions early in the race I was a little bit worried - it could have been a bit of an issue.

"The tactics were similar to how we rode her last start in Sydney, We were relying on her good turn-of-foot and we were confident that she would stay out the distance.

"She's a very talented filly Ricky (Surace) does a great job with his selections and producing these horses and sending them through to us, so we get the easy part, we get nice fast horses to train."

"She's going to stay very well. They think she'll easily get 2000 (metres) so she'll be a real force to be reckoned with in autumn. But she's obviously building a nice record and adding some all-valuable black type to her page."

More Aeliana than Fangirl?: "I think so. Obviously, we sort of thought being by Trapeze Artist, she might be a bit sharper. But Ricky's adamant that he's done the genome testing and it all points towards being a stayer. So, the fact that she can do it over fourteen and a mile is only really a bonus to her."

Chased strongly: "She did. I thought it was going to get really sticky at one point when the field spread out and split into two, but she was just far too good."

Winning Jockey: Tommy Berry

Pace on mid-race: "It really brought my filly out of her comfort zone quite a bit, but that happened last start as well."

"And by the time she got to the corner, she grabbed hold of the bit and showed a good turn of foot, and even today, I had pressure from the inside coming to the corner, wanting to push me out of the way."

"I just didn't want to get into a bumping duel, because she's a filly that loses balance quite easily. So I let that horse sort of take me where he wanted, and I knew it was a long straight, and we had plenty of time to pick them up, she won with plenty of authority, and Chris, he knows what horses to bring for this race, that's for sure."

Confidence to ride where comfortable: "I think you just get that when you ride for Chris anyway. He's a trainer that likes his horses ridden where they're comfortable. He never likes them out of their comfort zone, and he gives you the confidence to be confident in yourself and back yourself and not panic.

"We've had a great relationship for a long time. And for Ricky and Ricky Jr. and his wife, they're great supporters of mine, so a very nice day."
