Out Of Square Shines as Racing Rewards SA Star of 2024/25

Talented filly Out Of Square’s impressive rise from a maiden to Listed contender completed a brilliant season as the Racing Rewards SA pin-up horse for 2024-25.

The Richard and Chantelle Jolly-trained three-year-old banked her connections $223,990 in prizemoney, winning four of her seven starts, $78,430 coming in Racing Rewards bonuses.

Placed at her first two starts at the back end of 2024, Out Of Square broke her maiden in style when she resumed at Oakbank in March.

She won three of her next four starts, her unplaced run coming behind subsequent Group 1 Goodwood winner Reserve Bank in the Listed Redelva Stakes at Morphettville in April.

She was placed again in the $105,000 Racing Rewards feature at Murray Bridge in June before running down the track on heavy conditions in the Listed Lightning Stakes behind Cicala at Morphettville in July.

Trainer Chantelle Jolly expressed amazement at Out Of Square's performances, stating, "She's been a bit of a surprise packet really. At home, she doesn't show much – you can hardly get her out of a canter. But she's had a good prep."

It was another big season of Racing Rewards for the Jolly stable, who were the leading trainers for the season, picking up $20,240 in bonuses.

The leading Breeder/Nominator was Cornerstone Stud Farm with $73,700 in Racing Rewards, Sir Prancealot was the Leading Sire with $243,375 in Racing Rewards, while Minella Bloodstock was the Leading Owner, picking up $90,414.50.
