Winning Trainer: Annabel & Rob Archibald (Rob's comments)

On the prep: "He has been up for a little while now. We've always thought he was probably not too far away from a break. That was a great effort."

On the ride: "Alysha rated him beautifully outside lead. He is getting better each run this preparation and it was nice to see him put it together."

On the rain hanging around: "Probably not. He does relish it doesn't he. Relished it in Europe and handling it really well here. That will give him a lot of confidence. Nice for the connections who have been very patient throughout the prep. Nice to see a good win."

Winning Jockey: Alysha Collett

On the win: "He did it that comfortably that the last 100m I went to sit up because I thought I was just putting paid to the field."

On the winner: "Loved it. He is very light framed and he has got a high knee carriage. I've had a couple of rides at trackwork on wet tracks with him and he absolutely thrives. He got through that very easy"

Beaten Jockeys:

Zac Lloyd (Saltcoats): "Just failed to fire today. Demeanor was great. Saved all his energy for the race and relaxed lovely in the run. Just didn't pick up the last 400m."

Reece Jones (Sky Lab): "Just seems to be doing his best work late again once the race was already over. Hit the line OK."

Tommy Berry (Tajanis): "Too much of a sit and sprint for him. Ground he didn't love, but I think it had a lot more to do with the set up of the race."

Braith Nock (Belvedere Boys): "Found a nice spot, travelled quite well. Just pinched a run in the straight and it closed up. I thought he was quite good to get to the outside and hit the line like he did."

Rachel King (Hasty Honey): "First bit was great. Probably just the really heavy track found her out late."

Andrew Adkins (Good Banter): "Terrific run. Very tough, very gallant. Probably would have liked a bit more speed throughout the race. I thought she was tough late."
