Neindorf hunts next challenge
Fresh on the back of his second Group 1 win in the South Australian Derby Lachlan Neindorf has his sights on a first Metropolitan Jockey Premiership.
Lachlan Neindorf has ridden 32 winners at city level in the 2024-25 season to trail Rochelle Milnes (37) by five and is two wins behind Taylor Johnstone who has 34 metropolitan wins for the season.
"It's definitely a goal,'' Neindorf said.
"I'd love to be able to win a premiership.
"I can easily get suspended, but I am hoping they (suspensions) can stay at bay for the rest of the season because if they do, I have the confidence and I think I'm a chance,'' he said.
Neindorf has a big book of seven rides at Morphettville on Saturday when racing returns the Parks following the Adelaide Racing Carnival, led by Chisholm for the Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr stable.
The well-bred filly by I Am Invincible out of Snitzerland was beaten 1.25 lengths behind Within The Law at Flemington on debut in the Inglis Banner back in November and comes to Adelaide on the back of two Cranbourne jump-outs.
"It will be interesting to see what she does,'' Neindorf added.
"She got beaten by one of Bjorn Baker's who then went on and won another Listed race and was narrowly beaten in a Group 1.
"If she brings that form to Saturday, she's going to be awfully hard to beat,'' he said.
