Winning Trainer: Ciaron Maher
"It was great. I was hoping we'd do that in the last race but I'll take this one. He's an honest horse.
"He's had a couple of trips to Adelaide. Last start it sort of unravelled but he got a few things he likes (here). He loves the cut in the ground, he loves to dictate and Browny for it pretty right.
"He was smoking the pipe coming into the straight. He got over the line and the Ballarat crew have been managing him very well."
On Gilded Water in then Geelong Cup: "He was pretty good but when Onesmoothoperator came out, that was probably the pace we needed.
"He relaxed pretty well and probably grabbed the bit a little bit. He probably left on the track last start when he overraced and still got to the line.
"He's a good horse in the making, I don't think he's been out of the placings yet. He's got a bright future and I'd hoped it would happen today but that's racing."
Winning Jockey: Ethan Brown
"He showed good gate speed and the way the track is playing, he's a horse that it is important to get him into a rhythm and get his breathing right.
"He executed that today and gave a kick. He loved a bit of wet ground today as well. Good performance and that will be good for his confidence."
On Celine Gaudray: "Great effort by her. She's had nothing but confidence in that horse and every time she has ridden it she has given it a chance. Good on her, she's got her chance in the Melbourne Cup and he wouldn't be the worst either."
