Moore Triumphant on Triumphant More
We suggested that the name of the horse may be significant and for Ryan Moore it was,
He gave Moore a second win for the evening at Happy Valley on Wednesday and the first in the IJC run that evening. The evening started off for a win for William Buick on our tip Bunta Baby which set us up nicely for the evening and another tip Healthy Healthy was second. Inbetween them was Zac Purton and Beauty Thunder.
The second leg was the first of Ryan Moore's double with Corleone, the favourite, saluting. Ace War was second and Fortunate Son third.
After the break and Race 6 we got to the third leg which saw Hugh Bowan and Silvery Breeze finish first ahead of Flying Fortress – Za's mount – and Max Que.
So coming into the decider there were three possible winners if they rode the winner here – William Buick, Ryan Moore and Hugh Bowman and a couple more could have upset things if they scored as they had points from placings but it was Ryan Moore who triumphed in the end on Triumphant More in a tight finish with Tourbillon Golfer and then Mighty Commander in third.
Ryan Moore has just returned from a costly time off with a broken leg as he missed out on some very lucrative rides so he must be pleased to be back in the money again,
