Magic Millions Lots to Watch – Day 3
A look at some of the lots of interest on Day 3 at the Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
The 2026 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale continues on Thursday and after a bumper day on Wednesday, more good results are expected with a handful of the predicted good performers listed below.
Lot 455 – I Am Invincible x Lankan Star filly
I Am Invincible has already had another particularly productive Gold Coast Yearling Sale, but Day 3 could be the session that the Yarraman Park superstar really exerts his influence.
It is expected to start early with his Segenhoe-prepared filly out of Blue Diamond Stakes runner-up Lakan Star certain to sell well, while colts out of Modern Wonder (Lot 575), Noondie (617), Norwegian Bliss (622) and Odeum (632) and a filly out of Mumbai Rock (593) have also been particularly popular at the inspections stage.
Lot 465 – Snitzel x Levante filly
Levante needs no introduction as a racehorse, winning four Group 1s in New Zealand, and this year's sale presents the first opportunity to buy progeny of the daughter of Proisir.
Her first mate was late Arrowfield legend Snitzel, producing a filly who will be offered by Arrowfield in the first 30 minutes of the session.
Lot 552 – Extreme Choice x Miss Exfactor colt
Extreme Choice had a big day on Day 2 with half of the 10 lots he has in the book going through the ring and among the three he has to be offered on Day 3 is a colt out of Your Song mare Miss Exfactor, who won a Group 3 Birthday Card Stakes and a half-sister to former classy three-year-old Boogie Dancer, which is part of the Newgate draft.
Lot 561 – Wootton Bassett x Miss Que colt
Wootton Bassett was a late-comer to Australia, but he has been an influential sire at yearling sales Down Under in recent years and this week's sale is the first since his death at Coolmore last spring.
His standout lot on Thursday is the Coolmore-prepared colt out of Fastnet Rock mare Miss Que, who was a city winner and Group 3 placegetter who is a daughter of the Last Tycoon mare Tarcoola Diamond, which makes her a sister to Cluster.
Lot 680 – Snitzel x Play That Song colt
The Levante filly could be an early star for Snitzel, but he also has one late in the day who could ensure sale ring fireworks.
Newgate has a bay or brown colt who has made the shortlists of many of the big players with the youngster out of the Showcasing mare Play That Song, who was a top two-year-old in New Zealand ad won the Eclipse Stakes at two and finished runner-up in the Karaka Million.
