RACE 1 - 11:37AM Festival Hire Maiden Plate (1000 METRES)
Chisholm is a $500k yearling resuming here for the Price/Kent Jnr with Lachy Neindorf booked to ride. She was good on debut beaten when she led and was beaten 1.25 lengths behind Within The Law at Flemington on the Inglis Banner in Nov. The winner has franked the form since and she looks the horse to beat. ESHA is a $900k yearling on debut for Shane Nichols and another Kia Ora Stud filly who has won a couple of jump-outs and draws a nice barrier. CALADAN ran well on debut when 3rd behind the talented Dobbinair here on Dec 21 and won a recent trial at Murray Bridge trial.VEGAPINE BELLE is on debut for Travis Doudle and won a recent Murray Bridge trial. ONE MORE SONG is on debut for the Bain/Taylor stable and has shown ability in her trials and jump-outs. She draws well. RICH LADY has had her share of chance placed at nine of 19 and she was solid when beaten 0.32 lengths in 2nd behind Velvet Fox at Oakbank last time. ARAMOSO has had plenty of chances but again draws the inside. SECTORS has shown ability, draws a nice barrier and gets the blinkers first-up. STARS ARE ALIGNING is another who gets the blinkers for the first time.

Party Crasher has two wins and two seconds from his four starts and he just missed at Oakbank behind Teardrop Rotation over 1400m before he jumped sharply in trip and was impressive scoring a 1.45 lengths win over Beach Pad last time. He has a lot of upside, has been $2 into $1.65 early and is the horse to beat. DIXIE WHISTLER was good right up in class when she was beaten 2.76 lengths behind Sir Kingsford in the Listed Port Adelaide Cup, she gets a nice claim here and should be in the mix on her latest. HIGH SOCIETY GIRL was a good Strathalbyn winner before making it back-to-back wins at Oakbank beating THERE GOES MY HERO who is bursting to win a race having placed at her past three.SELECTIONS: 3 PARTY CRASHER, 1 Dixie Whistler, 4 High Society Girl, 5 There Goes My Hero

Novela was good running 3rd behind All Too Mysti here on the Parks before he won his Balaklava maiden last time as a $1.24 favourite. He draws a nice gate and is a horse with plenty of upside.FALANGINA was solid last time when beaten 1.19 lengths behind Top Of The Ridge at Murray Bridge and draws an inside gate. SEE YA LATER BABY was good running 3rd beaten 0.68 lengths behind Teardrop Rotation at Oakbank last time and should be in the mix. EVEN SHARPER has been placed at three of six here and was runner-up behind Katim's Club at Balaklava last time. STECARA won an Oakbank maiden in December and was OK beaten 1.96 lengths in 4th behind Talkin' Italian last time. THE BIG WHEEL is lightly-raced and comes off a 0.86 length Penola win.

Thinkhardandfast has a good record with two wins and three 2nd's from her six starts and was a Kerang winner before going to Geelong and was beaten a length by Dreams Comes True and she looks hard to beat from a good barrier. BURNING BRIGHT has only won two of 25 but comes off a good run when beaten 2.44 lengths behind Fine Future at Morphettville. She draws out and should be in the mix. ANDREW'S MEMORY has only won three of 26 but was sent out favourite when beaten 1.61 lengths behind Tupoleu at Oakbank before he led when beaten 0.48 lengths behind Headphones at Murray Bridge. GODZILLA is a former Queensland galloper first-up here for Travis Doudle and has placed at his past five, the latest in BM65 grade at Doomben, that form should measure-up well here. THERMODYNAMIC won the Clare Cup in December ad was then beaten 1.57 lengths in the Bordertown Cup behind Dr Dee Dee. He has trialled OK and has been in the money at three of four fresh. They went up $7.50 and has been crunched into $3.60. SYNCHRO was a 4.05 length winner here over Pirate on Mar 1 and was $3.90-$2.70 when beaten 1.63 lengths behind Serinite Illusion here on Apr 5. He has trialled since and looks well placed. KATIM'S CLUB was a Murray Bridge and Balaklava winner before she was narrowly beaten by Headphones at Murray Bridge last time. STARTS NOW has finished in the first four since winning at Morphettville last Nov, he won a recent trial and draws a nice barrier. FOLLOWING SEA is first-up for the Bain/Taylor stable and won at Hamilton and Wangaratta last campaign. Her best form is over further but he can run well fresh. JAPANESE EMPEROR was OK behind Rubamos at Oakbank two runs back and can improve from a good barrier. Big Brute resumes, he showed ability winning at Balaklava on debut. He tackled the Oaklands Plate and Sires' Produce Stakes on wet tracks before running 2nd behind Detroit City at Flemington. He came back home and was beaten 4.2 lengths behind Talisay and Goldrush Guru. He's had a decent break, trialled OK and draws the inside. RICHE D'AMOUR has come back well winning at Oakbank in Feb and was a good winner here two runs back beating Free Beer before he was beaten 6.29 lengths behind Beauty Rising last time. ZESTIMAN is a Hayes galloper who comes off a 1.35 length Ballarat win over 1200m and draws a nice gate. PROVEN CORRECT is a handy type who was a winner here in Nov beating Gruelling and he has trialled OK. CRUZ MISSILE is a former Victorian first-up for Michael Hickmott and placed at Ballarat last time on the 1600m on Mar 25. MERCHANT BOSS was good first-up from spell when 4th behind Voltage Point at Morphettville and can run well. I Am Velvet is a talented filly who was 4th behind Kuroyanagi in at Caulfield in the spring before running 10th in the G3 Vanity and then 4th beaten 3.9 lengths in the G3 Blue Sapphire Stakes. She was a Sandown winner first-up and then beaten 5.34 lengths as a $3.80 favourite at Flemington last time and looks hard to beat here. Stablemate PRINZERRO brings good form here placed at three of his last four and was 2nd behind Elouyou at Moonee Valley last time but draws out. COLMAR won the G3 Sires' Produce last July and wasn't disgraced when beaten 3.7 lengths in the Sandown Guineas before he was beaten 6.5 behind Cilacap when he led at Caulfield last time. ROGUE ROCKER was good first-up from a spell when he made good ground beaten 1.15 lengths behind local Losesomewinmore at Flemington last time and draws a nice barrier. VOLTAGE POINT was given a gun ride to beat Solar Blast here first-up from a spell and he should be in the mix. Vintage Star hasn't raced since beating Prairie Flower here back in November and was a winner on the outer track prior. He's won five of 10, three of four first-up, and looks hard to beat. GITALONG had two jump-outs before a good return when beaten 0.75 lengths behind the talented New York Lustre at Moonee Valley which is good form for this. SIR NOW has a win and two 2nd's from his four runs here beating BEEN OUR ANGEL three starts back and was good beaten 1.53 lengths behind Out Of Square at Morphettville last week. DEEPFLOAT DIVA was beaten 0.77 lengths behind New York Lustre at Moonee Valley last time and should be in the mix. PORT ALBERT was a Moonee Valley winner last October and was OK last time when beaten 3.27 lengths in 5th in the New York race. LONRODEX was good first-up when beaten 0.34 lengths behind Vexatious Dancer here before he jumped up in class and was beaten 2.7 lengths at 9th behind Volcanic Express at Oakbank which is good form for this. ROSALINA is a former Victorian first-up for John MacMillan and has won two of her past five. Nurys has been bursting to win a race running four consecutive 2nd's, the latest behind Lovely Lookin' before she stepped up in class and was beaten 4.94 lengths behind Cleo Cat in the G3 Proud Miss Stakes at Morphettville last weekend. She draws out but looks hard to beat. STOLEN is a winner at her only run here and was 3rd behind Runaway Statement at Morphettville before a break. She has had two trials and looks well placed. INVERTATIONAL was OK at her local debut beaten 3.59 lengths behind Lovely Lookin' and she draws a good gate with the claim. SHISUTO BO resumed when narrowly beaten at Bordertown behind Miss Kermie and she has two wins from three starts here. KINETIC JEWEL is another with a good record around the Parks and was beaten 5.99 lengths behind Lovely Lookin' first-up. TOSEN WATER has been placed at his past two, the latest beaten 1.77 lengths behind Jilladora at Oakbank in the Queen Of The Hills. MAIL ORDER is a watch first-up for the Jolly stable and was a Bendigo maiden winner in Feb. EXTRA HOT resumes and did run well fresh last time in work.
