Winning Trainer: Ciaron Maher
$20,000 goes to Bushfire Relief: "Fantastic to donate to the Bushfire Appeal in Victoria. Special credit to Ethan Brown's ride, firstly, and to the horse's effort first-up. This sets him up for a massive campaign."
Next: "All-Star Mile in a month, then he'll probably make his way to Sydney beyond that. He was very good then. It was a brutally run mile. He was vulnerable and should have been vulnerable first-up.
"Although he came off the bridle anc chased, it just shows his ability and his aerobic capacity to stand up like that.
Stablemate Holymanz third: "He had a nice break off the back of that. He had a smooth run into this. To this horse's credit, he keeps backing up and he's the ultimate racehorse and is always around the fringes.
"It'll be hard not to go to the All-Star Mile on the back of that."
Winning Jockey: Ethan Brown
"It is a privilege to wear these colours anywhere. The key is that we've learnt so much about the horse since he came here.
"We've worked him out now. The key is getting him out of the gates. There was a genuine tempo and it was perfect because Ciaron had him fit and I knew he was going to stay on.
"I didn't worry too much because I knew he'd be strong late and he proved he could stay when winning the Australian Cup.
"I went early on that day but he outstays them.
"It is a matter of keeping him happy and I let him stride for 350-metres of the race and I asked him to come back and he listened.
"Just got to find the happy medium with him. He's never a moral but he always was going to be strong late.
Compared to a year ago: "Different horse. In Sydney, he ran and it was just yuck. He had his head up, he was four-wide the trip. The way he is handling himself, it is amazing to see and he has really turned the corner all the way through.
"I'm sure this prep we'll really get to see the best of him."
