Winning Trainer: Chris Waller

Being the Phar Lap Stakes winner: "That is right. She is a talented filly in her own right. All those horses that have won it have gone on to win G1 races. Lazzurra is just waiting for that moment to happen."

On her improvement: "She gives that impression at home that she has come back bigger and stronger. What we bring to the races from each year as they get older, we look after them early and get rewarded late."

On the future: "She deserves a G1 so we have to pick out the right G1. The Sir Rupert Clarke early in the Spring at Caulfield or whether we keep her up here for an Epsom and see where Autumn Glow is going. A few little things to map together. She will win one and maybe not just be one."

Winning Jockey: James McDonald

On the mare: "She is a star. Gave me a beautiful ride. Left the gates a little bit awkwardly. Got back and thought they didn't really go a gallop. Thought she would have to be extremely good to win but she was that. Got through the ground well. A tenacious mare who has come back in great order. Well looked after."

On her best trip: "She is pretty quick. For her to rattle off sectionals like she has today off a slow tempo is a testament to her ability but also how quick she is. She has plenty of pace."

Beaten Jockeys:

Andrew Mallyon (Yellow Brick): "Really pleased with his return. Travelled nicely and presented well into the race. Probably laboured under the big weight on a really heavy track not to his liking."

Jason Collett (General Salute): "Probably found that ground a bit sticky. Didn't change legs in the straight. Still fought on but not as effectively as he can be."

Zac Lloyd (Corniche): "Probably just a bit full of himself today. He will need that run just to bring him down a peg. Travelled a bit keen in the going."

Alysha Collett (With Your Blessing): "Really brave run. Controlled the race in front. Had it all over until we got rolled."

Tom Sherry (Romeo's Choice): "Very pleased with him. He has run really well. The five weeks between runs might have told late. An honest race."

Jay Ford (Bandi's Boy): "I know he has good wet track form but he struggled in that ground today. He is a big heavy horse. He is going well and feeling well but I think he wants a firmer surface."

Dylan Gibbons (Just Feelin' Lucky): "Travelled well. Just sunk in the ground."
