Winning Trainer: Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr (Price interviewed)

On the win and Blake Shinn's ride: "Well, he had the race more or less worked out pretty good because he just got the trail of (favourite) King Zephyr, how good?"

"He said, 'I'll be in the three-wide line, I just need the right horse to take me in.

"To tell you the truth, I was a bit concerned because the track is getting firmer – not that he's an unsound horse – but those beautiful wet-track horses, you come to a firmer ground (and there's a question mark).

"So, all credit to that horse. I think he did a great job."

Can he get further and where next: "I think so. The Weekend Hussler is a 1400-metre Listed race coming up for him.

"He only just got beat over a mile last time, but this time we just decided for some reason to keep him fresh and keep him to 1200.

"He's obviously enjoyed it, but certainly 1400 metres (will be no problem) and basically you have got to go to a Listed race, don't you?"

Winning Jockey: Blake Shinn

On how he handled MV and the race itself: "He got around here good enough. It's interesting this track, how they've got that side straight before they turn and you can really build their revs up into the turn.

"On paper, it didn't look like there was a lot of speed, but they actually really went quick, so it set it up for the run-ons.

"He got into a nice rhythm and I built his revs up about the 500 and he got to top speed upon straightening and it was a great win today."

On redesigning the horse as a sprinter: "It was a well-thought out race for the horse, full credit to the stable, they've really figured him out as a sprinter and he's going through the grades nicely. He's got a great constitution.

"These type of horses can sort of catch you off guard, they stretch him out to a mile probably given his character and it can fool you a little bit, but they've figured him out.

"Well done to Mick and Michael, his trainers, they've figured him out and the owners are reaping the rewards."

On winning after an unlucky ride on Oak Hill in the Moir Stks: "Well done to Rupert Legh and the owners, we had no luck on Oak Hill in the big race, that was a bit devastating, but this is a little consolation for us."
