Winning Trainer: Ciaron Maher

On getting her back to form after a poor run three back: "We had to sort of reset, she overraced and it looked like a run that was the end of a prep, so we freshened her up, back to the 1200.

On Logan Bates' winning ride: "(It was a) good steer, last week, it just looked like she needed that for it 1400 and Logan Bates, he was a bit critical of his ride last week. He thinks about what he's doing and he's got a very bright future and he couldn't give her any better of a steer today.

"She's deep in her prep and the team have done a great job to keep her up.

On backing up from an unlucky run last week: "You've got to have the prep to back up and she definitely had that – deep in, freshen up – it can work for them and thankfully work for her."

Winning Jockey: Logan Bates

On the plan going into the race after last week's unlucky run: "Not tangled up at a crucial stage is probably the words I'll be looking for.

"I got a little bit wrong the other day, it probably didn't hinder us too much, but we cleaned that up today.

"We've got a lovely run in transit, I always thought Sassy Boom would lead up and Capper (Thirtynine) would sit outside, so we got a beautiful track into it.

On winning on the back up: "All credit goes to Ciaron and his team, backing her up and bringing her to 14 (hundred) at Caulfield.

"Luckily we got a little bit of rain, a bit of cut in the track, which enhances her chances, and she done the rest.

"She's a very straightforward sort of horse, lovely to ride, and just like to thank Ciaron and all the connections for the opportunity again.

Did he think they'd run down leader Sassy Boom: "She made me work. My girl, she quickened well off the corner and worked into it and probably hit her top at the furlong and she really dug deep to chase the leader down.

"For a few strides there, I didn't think I was going to get there, but as I said, my horse dug deep and got the job done."
