Jockey Club and Dubai Racing Club to retain reciprocal partnership
Dubai Racing Club have announced they will be renewing their partnership with UK racecourse group The Jockey Club for the upcoming Flat season.
The reciprocal agreement sees The Jockey Club sponsor the conditions Jumeirah Stakes on 2 January at Meydan, whilst Dubai Racing Club sponsor a five-furlong handicap held during Newmarket's July Meeting. It was found to be a success in 2025, with Charlie Appleby's Age Of Gold winning the Jumeirah Stakes and the David O'Meara-trained Leadman taking the Dubai Racing Club Handicap.
"We thoroughly enjoyed working with The Jockey Club last season in creating this partnership," commented Al Ali Ali, CEO and Board Member, Dubai Racing Club. "Horseracing is increasingly a global sport and initiatives such as these allow us to learn from other jurisdictions for the benefit of the whole industry."
Sophie Able, International Director for The Jockey Club, added: It is with great pleasure that we announce the continuation of our partnership with Dubai Racing Club. The relationship between Dubai and British racing is longstanding, deeply valued, and built on a shared commitment to excellence in our sport.
"Welcoming Dubai Racing Club to the Debenhams July Festival further highlighted the strength and significance of our collaboration. We look forward to exploring new opportunities to bring British and Dubai racing even closer together with His Excellency Ali Al Ali and his team."
