Hill Road shows best Quality
As a son of Quality Road Hill Road oozed quality winning the Peter Pan.
This was part of a "Belmont at the Big A" races at Aqueduct and served as a prep for the Belmont, to which Hill Road will be aimed. The other two races of interest both had small fields – the Man o' War only had 5 runners and not surprisingly the two most favoured finished 1-2 – Far Bridge and Anglophile.
The Ruffian was down to 7 runners by start time and the first three in the market shared the top three spots – Jody's Pride winning from Sterling Silver with My Mane Squeeze third.
The Peter Pan – surprisingly only a Gr 3 saw Hill Road return to his best form for Chad Brown and Flavian Prat with the Dutrow pair of McAfee 8/1 and Captain Cook second and third.
