Hanshin hosts Asahi Hai Futurity G1

It's the turn of the 2yo boys this Sunday over the 1600m at Hanshin.

This is another of those annoying "no geldings" races when if there are any 2yos that have already been gelded it isn't going to affect the gene pool which has a very good supply of top quality genes.  It's not like it's the Guineas or the Derby where the black type is very important.  While 2yo form is interesting from oru point of view it is not nearly as important as 3yo form as many 2yos are still developing although this time of year it is not so far to their third birthdays.

So Sunday's race has two unbeaten colts at the top of the market – Admire Quads by Real Steel on 3.6 and Realize Sirius by Poetic Flare on 3.9.  Admire Quads won his last start over the 1600m at Kyoto in record time which probably gives the edge here but both horses are drawn wide.

We are going for Cavalierizzo, Cristian Demuro's mount who is by Saturnalia and is on 4.2.   He was just beaten a head by Admire Quads at Kyoto in the record breaking race and has a nice draw here.

If you need a fourth pick, Corteo Soleil has had 5 starts for a win, two seconds and a third so plenty of experience.  He's by Win Bright and Kawada will ride and they are on 49.1 which looks good e/w value.
