Winning Trainer: Paul Shailer

"It is nights like this that you enjoy, for sure. It is a tough game and we've had a frustrating time over the last six or eight weeks. We've run a lot of seconds and thirds and horses running really well. It has all come together tonight.

"Good barriers, good jockey - Michael has ridden them all like James McDonald tonight.

"We've been here for 12 months now and our horses are racing in better classes of races and we're featuring in metropolitan races and being competitive."

Winning Jockey: Michael Rodd

"It is good. It is good to get on horses who find their right races and it is good to win million-dollar races as well.

"It is good to team up with Paul and this horse really deserved it. He is a horse that needs a soft run and he can't go too early. But today when he was tucked away, and I got to follow one in the run and produce him late, that turn-of-foot is handy but he does need things to go his way."

On the treble: "It is good when these things happen. I spent two years away from the track and it was tough on my family going through it with me.

"I love riding horses. I love being in the jockeys' room and also working with the younger riders. I enjoy it."
