Winning Trainer: Ciaron Maher
"It was a beautiful ride and a sense of timing there. The speed was good and she (Gaudray) had her cuddled away.
"For the first time down the straight she had a lovely truck into it and she sprinted really well. She's now undefeated for the first time down the straight in good company and that set up for the rest of her prep pretty well.
Next: "We wanted to come here today to put her up against this level. There are a few different options we can take. There's one at Caulfield in a couple of weeks for three-year-olds up to Sydney.
"Credit also goes to Julien Walsh. This filly is tricky in the gates and he has done a good job to get her stepping away.
"Ozzie and his crew, it is great for her to be winning as well."
On Bel Merci: "I thought she went OK. Almost began too well. She was exposed, didn't have cover. Ethan got there when he had to and arguably it was a bit soon.
"With the way i turned out she capitulated and couldn't sustain. She's run well with a few things to inspect."
Winning Jockey: Celine Gaudray
"I think the track is really fair and drawing barrier one today, I thought they'd go to the middle of the track.
"She was a little bit warm today and I thought she was overdoing it before the race which had me a little bit worried.
"But she bounced out well and I wanted to let the other horses cross me as I thought I'd done a little bit too much but I was lucky enough that they all spread out at the right time and she put them away really nicely. She's a beautiful horse."
