Race 1
#3 NIGHT PUROSANGUE didn't show much during his first campaign although he wasn't beaten far on two occasions.He made further improvement during the off-season break before arriving in class 5 at the commencement of this season.A drop into class 5, along with the option to racing on the all weather, brought about his best result recently and that should be the case again tonight.
#10 EURO ROCKS is yet to prove he can run out the distance quick enough to win but he must be strongly considered following two encouraging runs back on this particular surface.If you isolate his performance over 1200m two runs back you'd be inclined to have him amongst the hopes.Granted, he's still yet to win but should he bring something similar that can change.
#4 COURIER MAGIC enjoyed a solid preparation leading into his seasonal return with three trials completed in good fashion under Zac Purton.He then settled back first up at Happy Valley before running on strong to eventually finishing second.Zac Purton has now moved elsewhere, but, it's worth remembering he did trial superbly on this surface in September.
#2 VIEW ALL THINGS hasn't achieved much at this point but finds his way into class 5, comes up with the perfect draw and Zac Purton rides.He was able to lead a trial on the dirt in early September before being overhauled by a horse called BETTER AND BETTER, who interestingly Zac Purton rode.Now they team up for an assignment and are expected to run well.
#5 YEE CHEONG RAIDER has shown a liking for this surface in the past and is now being asked to step up in distance.He's a previous bleeder, but has gradually worked his way through that setback and now appears ready to improve.Another dirt trial was undertaken following his first up run over 1200m and I expect that to assist his fitness over this journey.

Race 8
#4 MOJAVE DESERT has hit a decent purple patch of form this season after hovering around in class 3 for sometime.He transferred from David Hayes to the Mark Newnham stable at the end of 2024 and has noticeably improved ever since.It'll be difficult to reel back the running leaders in this class, but he's certainly entitled to win/place respect considering the strength of his current form.
#5 MR ENERGIA has strengthened up mentally and physically over the past six months which is evident by his consistent race record and increased body weight.After winning another class 4 at the end of last term he bounced back into class 3 first up with a hard closing second.He then raced away for a most comfortable victory recently after jumping the odds on favourite.With that hit-out tipped to tighten him up to perfection he's ready for the rise in trip.
#12 NEW FOREST possesses an exceptional amount of early toe and despite drawing the extreme outside gate should be fast enough to cross and lead.He'll then be pressured by a genuine rush but it's hoped he get to the rail before heading into the back straight.That being the case, he'll be a difficult runner to overhaul, however, there are noted hard finishes to be mindful of.
#8 ARIEL possesses excellent barrier manners and from the inside gate he'll push through hard to try and lead.The 5lb claiming rider is also booked which shall help his momentum when pushing into the home straight.He's now reaching peak fitness after three runs back and on paper he's a difficult to leave out.
#7 TURIN MASCOT has only enjoyed the one victory in the last 12 months but he'll be suited by the solid tempo of this event.His second up record is worthy of note and a good draw allows him to trail.It's also been some time since he's found his best but he's become well rated and moves fluently in the mornings.
