"She's doing a wonderful job, she's a proper racehorse. What she lacks in stature she makes up for with her willingness to win. We came here today thinking dropping her back to 1200 metres might work against us. Andrew did a good job on her, he stayed patient and trusted her ability to quicken and get the job done. It was a nice pipe opener for the $1 million Country Championships Final in a few weeks' time. We're looking forward to that race now."
"She's tiny, she'd have to be the smallest horse in our stable. But they come in all shapes and sizes. The boys at Group 1 Thoroughbreds do a fantastic job buying these horses pretty cheaply. She's now won six of her nine starts and placed in the other three, so her record speaks for itself.
"We don't need to do too much with her before the Final. She's pretty deep into her prep now. She's very straightforward and hopefully she can come up for one more big run."
Winning Jockey: Andrew Mallyon
"I formed an opinion pretty early that I didn't think there would be too big a disadvantage to be on the fence. A lot of horses in the market held their ground there, so that was a good indicator. She's had a couple of runs on heavy tracks, so to come back from 1400 metres to 1200 metres with good pressure on, it was a great effort. She was really good late because I was struggling to keep pace with them early, but she towed me into the race and got better and better."
"I think I'm taller than her, she's probably only 15 hands maximum. But she's a little gun. She's got a big stride and she's got a bit of a daisy cutter action, so it's quite hard for a big jockey like me to ride her out. But she's a gutsy little thing and she's going to give that big race a shake, if it's wet in Sydney that day she'll be up to her ears in the race."
