"Gillian loves this horse, he's really tough and very genuine. He leaves everything out there, which is all you can ask for. He was on the quick back-up and he loves it here on his home track, especially when it's wet, so it was a great result."

"Before his last start, he had been ultra-consistent. He didn't appreciate the high pressure 1400-metre race last time, so the stable dropped him back in trip and he was back to his old self. We had to do a little bit of work early, but he was tough late."
"The instructions were to roll up on speed and take the lead if we were able to. He always tries hard and he liked the give in the track. I've been quite surprised by how well the track is playing, I don't think they will fan out as much as the day goes on and the track dries out further."
