Winning Trainer: Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott (Adrian comments)
Surprised at the win?: "No. She has been a very talented filly all the way through. We did feel we were throwing her a little bit in the deep end, we did have her nominated for Canberra yesterday as well."
"In fairness, off her trials and the way she looked, she just looked too magnificent to pass up racing here for a bit of black type on her home track."
"She has just thrived. She has done nothing wrong in her trials and she has been very well educated all the way through."
On the win: "Maybe she has looked a little bit under pressure in her trials, but she has still been learning and developing and she responded in those and that's exactly what she did today."
"She looked in a bit of trouble at the furlong, but she really lifted and won quite easily on the line in the end."
Go to a Golden Slipper lead-up next?: "I think we have to. Whether that's through a Silver Slipper or we trial into a race like the Reisling, she has certainly got to be in contention with that tenacity she showed today. I'm sure there is some really nice improvement to come."
On Lady Moscato: "She was honest. She just got a little bit keen outside the lead. Maybe the time between races for her, she's still got plenty of time to keep improving."
Winning Jockey: Winona Costin
On the ride: "You are always confident when you go out on a Gai and Adrian two-year-old. It's even better when you can get out in front."
"She is very professional, she goes about her business and does everything the right way. She's tough and pinned her ears back when she saw another one, she is very game."
On the relationship with Tulloch Lodge: "Gai and Adrian have always been big supporters of mine, especially with their two-year-olds. I've always been able to get a fair few two-year-old winners for them so it's great to get one in town for the stable.''
Beaten Jockeys:
Reece Jones (Savage Look): "Terrific effort. Doing everything right at the moment. He has a good attitude to take him a long way."
James McDonald (Campione D'italia): "He did it all upside down."
Nash Rawiller (Nomadic): "Look he is a nice colt. He did a bit wrong off the bridle. Might have felt the ground a little bit today. I think he will make a nice horse."
Chad Schofield (Threads): "He is a nice colt. Will be a lot better for today's experience."
Zac Lloyd (Spicy Miss): "Lovely run. She will improve off that."
Tim Clark (Lady Moscato): "Nice run. She is still learning. A good effort from her."
Tommy Berry (Satin Summer): "Might have just come to the end of it. She has done a good job this prep."
Alysha Collett (Essay): "Brilliant run. Really great exposure for her."
Tyler Schiller (Helldeeva): "I thought she did well with the circumstances. A bad barrier probably wasn't to her favour. She was a little bit keen but I thought today the pace helped her. She stayed on nicely to the line. Probably a filly needing a nice gate and a few things to go her way."
