We'll endeavour to run through the form, incorporate appropriate stats and also supply a betting prediction which won't always just be who will win.

HAWTHORN v CARLTON

Thursday 24 July @ MCG

Depending on how sympathetic the Hawks want to be, this would normally be considered a massacre.

There is nothing all that good about what Carlton has provided and now with one side desperate for the points, it might not be pretty.

Hawthorn just seems to be winding things up a tad. They weren't totally efficient against Port but the conditions played a big part.

Some of the issues like injuries could have a say through it all. Those going out and those coming back but they need the wins.

Match Hawthorn Carlton Ground
Last time they met      12.8 [80] 8.12 [60] MCG
Last 10 matches 6 wins 4 wins
Notes Since 2005, Hawthorn has managed to score 100+ points on 14 occasions.
Carlton has only done it 3 times in that period.
They meet Carlton who did manage a win. How did that happen?

They scrambled home against Melbourne as those matchups usually are of a see-sawing nature.

Charlie Curnow got 3 goals and he needs more than that to inspire this side currently but it was a step in the right direction.

Assuming he's there next year, a positive end to 2025 is essential. At least they've stopped the off field mayhem, at worst for a week.

While the scoring in these clashes is one sided, the results aren't always that way. We saw that back in March. A Hawks early onslaught could spell some danger to that though.

Match Selection: Hawthorn by 30 points

Suggested Bets: Hawthorn -26.5 @ $1.90
