Australian thoroughbred meeting is today held at Kembla Grange, Sandown Hillside, Eagle Farm, Ascot and Gawler.
KEMBLA GRANGE: RACE 4 @ 4:40 PM
AISLE TWO (5) talented filly resuming. Went out a winner with a dominant victory over 1300m at this track in a Super Mdn last October. Strong through the line in her only trial when sixth over 800m at this track. Key jockey change from the inside draw. Expected to go on with it this preparation. BONDASONG (1) justified the short price on debut when defeating inferior opposition on the soft (7) surface over 1200m at Gosford. Maps well and looks to have further upside. BIANCA MIA (8) progressed nicely at her second run back with a slashing third over 1150m at Beaumont (Newcastle). Near her peak for this and should appreciate the extra distance. Each way. CUBAN RAIN (7) jumped in trip at her second run back with a respectable fourth to Cuban Cigar over 1400m here. Blinkers go on and should relish the fast tempo.
SELECTIONS: Aisle Two can continue where she left off last time in.

SANDOWN-HILLSIDE: RACE 7 @ 7:00 PM
YUKAINA (5) was ultra-impressive winning on debut at Colac, leading throughout over 1210m and putting huge margins back through the field in fast time. This is much harder but the times and splits say he'll be measuring up strongly. JAMESJOHNO (1) is a danger. He ran well fresh at Stawell when missing narrowly and should be fitter from a good draw. KING TUT (2) resumes for his second campaign. He showed good ability last time in including a smart win on debut. He may get over more ground this time in but can be getting home strongly here. ROCK THEM JOOLS (3) resumes. He mixed his form a bit last time in but shaped well in a few races and can be hitting the line with Lane aboard. CRIPPS (4) didn't fire last time in but is better than that.
SELECTIONS: Yukaina to win.
EAGLE FARM: RACE 7 @ 6:10 PM
FIRST EMPIRE (8) was edged out first-up at Doomben then started favourite in Saturday grade here last start and was beaten under a length over 1200m, making a late charge but running out of ground. Scored third-up last prep over 1350m at Ipswich. Hasn't raced for 30 days but back in midweek company he looks the goods. DIVA LAS VEGAS (12) transferred to Michael Freedman this prep and has raced well without winning in NSW provincials. Found the line well over 1300m at Kembla last time so a first go at 1400m looks timely. HE'S FOR THE GIRLS (4) has been freshened up since finishing midfield in a strong form race over 1200m at the Sunshine Coast a month ago. The track was soft that day which he doesn't enjoy. Needs this sort of trip now so watch for a better run. POUTCHEK (13) returned with an eye-catcher at massive odds recently at Doomben. Is a winner here at the trip so keep her in mind. RETAINER (11) went well last start when attempting this trip for the first time. Worth following.
SELECTIONS: Keen on First Empire.
ASCOT: RACE 2 @ 2:19 PM
WONDERFULLY MADE (5) disappointed in her only run last campaign but has trialled very nicely coming into this. Fiore was on board through her 2YO campaign and reunites with the filly today. Maps for a lovely run first-up today and she can return on a positive note. TWO TIME CHARLIE (2) stormed home to break his maiden first-up and the form out of that race has stood up since. Out in trip looks a good move for him and he's expected to have come on again following that effort. Can sit a touch closer this time and repeat the dose. PURE MAC (7) was fair first-up in much stronger company than this and should appreciate coming back to maiden company. Draws the inside today and it wouldn't surprise to see her improve sharply. NAUGHTY LORD (3) just missed in a stronger race than this 13 days ago and rates highly. BACKCHATTING (1) can improve out in trip today and comes through a hot form race at Pinjarra last time out.
SELECTIONS: Wonderfully Made can get the job done on resumption.
GAWLER: RACE 3 @ 2:50 PM
HAMNER SPRINGS (1) keeps finding one or two better but is edging closer, beaten under a length last start at Oakbank as favourite. He backs up quickly, draws well again, and doesn't need to improve much to finally land that second win. YOUBEEFORTY (3) had genuine excuses when a well-beaten favourite at Oakbank, and his form prior reads well for this. The quick back-up and the Murtagh booking both signal intent. Major player. IMPENDING FURY (8) didn't fire last time but now rises sharply in trip, which looks suitable. Holder going back on is a strong lead. THE HIGHLANDER (4) was brave breaking his maiden at Strathalbyn. This is tougher, but he's progressive enough to warrant inclusion.
SELECTIONS: Hamner Springs to win.
