Australian thoroughbred meeting is today held at Doomben, Scone, Pakenham, Rockhampton and Albany.
DOOMBEN: RACE 6 @ 4:35 PM
METAL MAN (3) is a talented gelding who was well supported last time in the G3 Vo Rogue Plate at Eagle Farm, but pulled up with an issue. He'd resumed further improved in an Open 3 at the Gold Coast and fitter he can win drawn handy and with Maloney aboard. TIME OF MY LIFE (9) has had two outings for Gollan and led beaten a whisker at the Sunshine Coast last time. Has more to give and Jones sticks and can use the inside barrier. CHIBA (2) resumes gelded and was last seen winning a Newcastle Maiden from the front heavily bet. She trialled well for the new stable with race rider Rodd in the saddle. Maps for a soft run. TILL DUSK (8) has switched from a Victorian yard and the lightly raced mare also deserves a betting watch. Was last seen winning a Sale Maiden on a heavy track.
SELECTIONS: Metal Man to win.

SCONE: RACE 4 @ 3:00 PM
ST FAITH'S (5) is a lightly raced filly back from a 37-week spell. Debuted last prep with a placing at Muswellbrook then wasn't disgraced in the Listed Woodlands Stakes over 1100m at the only other run. Trialling well and should have the edge over today's rivals. PROCLIVITY (1) returns from a 229-day break for a second campaign. Placed on debut at Newcastle then struggled to make an impact before being turned out. All four runs have been on wet tracks which is the query, but if he doesn't mind the firmer track he's in with a chance. DIVA ROUGE (3) last appeared when midfield over 1000m here in July. Finished third on debut at Taree at the only other run. Went nicely in a recent trial and looks ready to run well. EQUITABLE (7) has not raced since finishing well back over this course and distance in August when fresh from a ten-month break. See what the market has to say. First starter PERFECT FORCE (8) has been well found in early markets due to strong trial form. Must be respected.
SELECTIONS: Keen on St Faith's.
PAKENHAM: RACE 6 @ 8:15 PM
TUSCALOOSA GEM (7) resumes looking well placed. She showed ability in her maiden campaign, winning her maiden here over 1100m at her third start. She profiles as a mare who will progress now and expect she takes catching. SMASH BLUE (6) is a handy sort who won her maiden fresh, good again last time in this grade at Cranbourne when just finding one better. She should be hard to hold out. FULLPROOF (2) resumes. Two runs last time in were solid and he has each way claims. STORMBOURG (4) has been below his best at his past couple but is better than that and his best rates well. DAPPER DON (3) next best.
SELECTIONS: Tuscaloosa Gem to win.
ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 4 @ 3:03 PM
SARAQAEL (4) brings strong form at the track and improved again narrowly beaten over 1100m last time. Stretches out to 1300m for the first time but she draws inside and makes strong appeal. NEXT LEGACY (8) was plainer in the same race, but his open 3 win prior over 1200m reads well. Maps for the run of the race and is a decent chance to bounce. BOLD ARTIC (2) was outgraded at the Sunshine Coast last time, but delivered a CL1 there prior. Keeps the 2kg claim and can use the inside gate. Has claims. STORM FORCE TEN (6) placed at Kilcoy first-up. He'd been off the scene for an age and has plenty up the sleeve. He'll keep improving.
SELECTIONS: Going with Saraqael.
ALBANY: RACE 7 @ 5:00 PM
SKYTALKER (4) jumped favourite here last start and just missed in a photo finish. Out to 1500m again now for just the second time, but he maps well and the rise in trip doesn't look an issue. Can go one better this time around. FIGHT IN FLIGHT (9) couldn't bring up the hat-trick last start when tackling Saturday grade at Ascot. Her two wins here prior were strong and put in good ratings. Back to the scene of the crime now and she can return to winning ways. FLYING SOUTH (3) jumped favourite over this track and trip last start and never really got into the race. Nottle's claim comes in handy today and he can return to his best form. IMPOSING BROOK (5) got the job done narrowly here 25 days ago and has the speed to work across from the deep. Can be in this for a long way. THE SPRUIKER (1) will find this easier than his past couple of outings and is not to be discounted.
SELECTIONS: Skytalker gets the nod.
