Race 2
#10 MEEPMEEP drew gate 1 last start which was the best starting position he'd had in a while but in review it ended up costing him the win. He was hemmed away on the rail while eventual all the way winner GO GO GO, easily blazed a trail out in front with zero hold ups. Nevertheless, the margin between the two can be turnaround on this occasion with the mid-range draw providing access to considerably more clear galloping room.
#14 ALL EYES ON ME found the 1800m a fraction out of his range three start back but has since been competitive over the 1650m. He's the lowest rated runner competing and therefore carries no weight which shall aid him significantly when the dash for the judge comes into play. The low draw provides jockey Keith Yeung with everything he needs and a win is necessary, at some point soon, to save his racing career.
#3 CELESTIAL HARMONY won first up for the new stable of Brett Crawford over this course and trip before finding the weight increase a tougher task last start. He'll be provided with another quality opportunity here from a favourable low draw and should position up handy to the speed. He's always given the impression he could win at the bottom of class 4 so he's in amongst the main chances from the better draw.
#13 PHANTOM CYCLONE closed of well on this surface after travelling wide throughout two runs back before subsequently jumping favourite last start. It's the third time in six weeks that he's made noticeable headway racing on dirt and for that reason should be included He draws further out which is something to be mindful of but after arriving from New Zealand off a rating of 64 points, he's in a winnable race.
#12 GO GO GO was set alight from the outset last start and was able to cross the field easily driving through the first bend to lead. Once he found rhythm, and the joy of free-air out in front it never appeared as though he'd be hauled in or beaten. Tonight, the weight goes up, the barrier to exit from is wider and the element of tactical surprise has been exposed, but, he's a moral to implement those tactics once again.

Race 6
#1 TOURBILLON GOLFER hasn't been in class 4 to often during his short career which highlights his overall consistency and commitment. He has the gate speed to lead this field whilst holding the rail from barrier one and is the ideal runner for local female apprentice Nicola Yeun. Nicola Yeun, makes her much anticipated Hong Kong debut earlier in the evening, and under her 10lb claim, this noted front runner provides her with a fabulous winning chance.
#3 ONE MAN SHOW has recorded solid sectional times at two of his past three defeats on the all weather before a slow start, and the outside draw, combined to challenge him most recently. The former Aussie won his maiden at Scone before relocating to Hong Kong and without question has taken a strong liking to the Sha Tin all weather track. The low draw in gate 2 means he'll position perfectly under Zac Purton, which ranks him the probable favourite and runner to beat.
#9 JUICY DRAGON has improved significantly on the all weather over the last 6 weeks and finally got it done under jockey Andrea Atzeni last start. With a 7lb rise and extreme outside gate to deal with this time around a tricky challenge lies ahead but the confidence of a win shouldn't be undervalued. Furthermore, it's a fair starting position the 1200m dispatch point on dirt so drawing wide can often end up being positive.
#8 ACE POWER shifted stables in early February to trainer Mark Newnham and the pair got off to an excellent start with a fast finishing second. He's dangerously close to a win, which was clearly displayed last start, and the blinkers going back on should introduce the focus required to see him closer in the run. He possesses the finishing power to overhaul all opponents but cant afford mistakes.
#10 SAVVY WARRIOR hasn't found any form at this point of his Hong Kong career but might be on the verge of running better races. The former English galloper arrived on a rating of 63 points and is now changing surfaces to the dirt, whilst dropping significantly in distance. The steering now becomes Vincent Ho's job from a perfectly good draw, which is another reason to consider him for wider exotics.
