HKJC buys two colts from 2026 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale

The Hong Kong Jockey Club purchased two eye-catching colts at the 2026 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale (1-3 March) at Oaklands Junction in Victoria, Australia for AU$600,000 (approx. HK$3.33 million).

Lot 147 was secured for AU$360,000. The bay – whose dam is a full-sister to stakes winner Athelric – is a son of Harry Angel, whose progeny in Hong Kong includes multiple winners Horsepower, Goldentronicmighty and Spirit Of Peace, plus recent victor Turin Champions.

Lot 406 was the second to fall the Club's way for AU$240,000. The youngster's dam Tinker McPhee is stakes performed, while his sire Toronado is a proven source of winners in Hong Kong, headed by recent HK$13 million Hong Kong Classic Cup (1800m) victor Stormy Grove and HK$13 million Hong Kong Classic Mile (1600m) winner Little Paradise, as well as Group 1 triumphant Victor The Winner and the top-level-placed Helios Express.
