W Night is fast approaching and Gloucester Park will set the stage on Friday, September 5 to showcase the best of the west, with the night filled with group races and features, with an incredible $924,000 in stakes to be distributed on the night.
Yesterday we saw the three-year-olds vying for their spot in the Gr2 $100,000 Westbred Classic with heats run and won at Pinjarra on August 25, with the first four placegetters gaining entry to the feature next Friday night.

The Westbred bonus system continues to set the standard in the industry, with Westbred progeny amassing $3.78million in bonuses in 2024.
With 603 horses winning bonuses in 2024 alone, Westbred horses are averaging more than $6000 in bonuses per season, showcasing the powerful financial support WA's breeding industry provides to local owners and trainers.
For horses sired here in the west, a double westbred incentive applies, with those horses receiving double the winning bonus, a further reward to those who invest in WA bred progeny.
There are still tickets available for the 2025 Harness Owners Appreciation Night hosted by Racing WA at Gloucester Park on W Night. Make sure you check out the link in your email and secure your tickets before it's too late.
