An impressive winner at Auteuil when trained in France by Marcel Rolland, Narciso Has subsequently joined the powerful operation of Willie Mullins and JP McManus.

The son of Doctor Dino suffered defeat on his stable debut in Grade 3 company at Fairyhouse, but he quickly rose to the top of the pecking order of Mullins' four-year-old hurdlers with dominant wins in the Grade 2 Changing Times Brewery Juvenile Hurdle and the Grade 1 Cannon's City Recovery & Recycling Services Juvenile Hurdle at Leopardstown.

He was viewed as one of the "Irish bankers" for the week at the Cheltenham Festival but will unfortunately now not make the journey.

Mullins told the Sporting Life: "He has met with a setback and unfortunately misses Cheltenham,"

"We will have to see what it means for the remainder of the season, but for now he's not going to make the trip."
