Watt Ohm - (Axel Baron/Axel Baron)

Chantilly – R7 – Prix de Villaines-sous-Bois

Watt Ohm's recent consistency might be rewarded when he looks to regain the winning thread in the Prix de Villaines-sous-Bois.

Trained and ridden by Axel Baron, the six-year-old has been knocking hard on the door since finishing a close-up fourth in a Deauville handicap just before Christmas.

His runner-up effort at Pornichet over a trip that perhaps just stretched him was another solid run, while the form of his narrow defeat back over an extended mile and a half at Deauville took a boost when the winner went one better subsequently.

Alex Baron's charge has since found the frame over the same course and distance nineteen days ago and it's surely a matter of time before he's getting his head in front again.

It's tough to believe he's yet to run at this venue but Chantilly's all-weather track should prove more than suitable for the son of Kamsin, who from a good draw in gate four, might well have what it takes to come out on top.
