「蒂瓦西」明年不会去欧洲配种

怀卡托育马场已经婉拒英国国家育马场的请求，明年不会送旗下种公马新秀「蒂瓦西」去欧洲配种。

「蒂瓦西」是已故种公马「灌木丛」的后代，服役期间赢下过一级赛，所以退役后也颇受育马人青睐，第一个南半球育种季里，它为140匹母马提供了配种服务。

怀卡托育马场的老板马克•奇蒂克表示，直到英国国家育马场主动沟通前，他们一直都没有想过要送「蒂瓦西」去欧洲，做一匹穿梭种公马。

不过，奇蒂克坦言婉拒英国国家育马场并不是一个简单做出的决定，他们在进行权衡时，最大的顾虑是爱驹即使去了那里，机会应该也不会特别多，因为那边将有4匹一年级的种公马。

奇蒂克相信，让「蒂瓦西」留在新西兰，供当地育马人观摩，进一步推销自己，这才是对他们更有利的安排。

对于「蒂瓦西」在第一个育种季里的表现，奇蒂克非常满意，他说宝驹在场内外都非常配合工作，已经非常有专业范儿。

「蒂瓦西」第一个育种季里配种的母马整体水准非常高，这140匹“新娘”中，不仅有很多一级赛冠军的母系，而且还有不少自己在一级赛中夺得过冠军。
